So, you might remember (or not) that when I first got into running back in November, I immediately bought a Garmin to track my runs. I was most specifically interested in time and distance. I originally purchased the Garmin Forerunner 50
But have YET to figure out how to track and/or display distance and I have had it since November! It has a seperate foot pod and heart rate monitor that I could not link up for the life of me! So, I did what any idiot simple-minded person would do…I bought another one. Nope, not the same because that would just be too ridonk 🙂 LOL. I ended up going with the Garmin Forerunner 305 that I saw on Tina’s blog. Thanks, girl!
I hope this one works better for me. It looks and sounds WAY easier. I hate that I am like that; if I can’t figure something out immediately I get annoyed and ditch it…Hence the reason I am not into video games. I hate sucking at stuff.
Anyway, I wanted to leave you with a quote from an old Edwin McCain song I was listening to the other day. I like this quote. Very interesting. What do you think of it?
Like a stone in a stream
Life smoothes all our edges
‘Til we barely make a ripple any more
Do you ever feel like life has just “gotten to you” in a way that your edges “have been smoothed” but not necessarily in a good way? Ponder.
What are you going to do with your old one? I’ve been thinking about getting a Garmin watch to use while I run. I never have any idea how far I’ve run. Do you still have the instructions? How much do you want for it? — IF you don’t want it anymore. I don’t want to be pushy.
