Hi all! I have been craving beef stroganoff for a while now so I thought I’d use slow-cooker Sunday to satisfy my cravings. It was insanely good. Here’s how I made it:
Ingredients:
onion (diced)
mushrooms- I used an 8 oz container but would use two next time (I had two too!)
two cans cream of mushroom soup- I used low-fat
2.5 lbs “Beef stew beef” (cut in chunks)
about 4 tbsp worcestershire sauce- i dumped a bit more in for good measure
garlic powder (a few dumps – great measure, huh? hehe)
Pasta or choice carb
1. Combine onion, mushrooms, worcestershire sauce, and mushroom soup in crock pot.
2. Stir together.
3. Add meat.
4. Simmer on low for 8 hours
5. Add cooking cream cheese
6. Stir
7. Cook another 10 minutes
8. Serve over desired pasta, mashed potato, carb of your fancy
It was SOOOOOO good. Seriously. The meat was SO tender and the sauce was SUPER tasty! Try this!
PS: I had mine with Bisquick cheesy biscuits. NOM!
Did you add any liquid at all to it besides the Worcestershire sauce?
Sounds like a good dish to try.
The juices from the beef add to the beef broth and golden mushroom soup. Delish!
