Teacher Gifts.

Ahhhhh it is that time of year, eh?!  Ya know, when you start scrambling like hell to get your kids’ teacher(s) a respectable present?  Ive been on the other end of it, so here are some suggestions (including my ridiculous sayings) right from the horses mouth 🙂

LOW BUDGET

“Thanks for your KINDness”– These yummy bars are great for on the go and if you have a few extra buck$, add in a small Whole Foods gift card for good measure 🙂

THIS MUG– OMG I would have LOVED to get this mug.  And for only 12 bucks!  A no brainer!  I think people shy away from mugs thinking that everyone has too many, but teachers LOVE a good teacher mug to sip on that OMGCOFFEE all AM while teaching.  And the saying on this one could not be more true!

“Thanks for making me one smart cookie!”– Get an adorable reusable all-purpose jar and fill with cookies (homemade or store-bought…I also LOVE Hopes Cookies or Insomnia).  Make a cute tag with the above statement and your child’s teacher will enjoy for sure!

I love the chalkboard labels on these!

A nice tote– Each year, I would get a new tote for school use.  Trust me, I needed a new one each year 🙂  I LOOOOVE this one with an initial.  Can’t beat it for less than $20!  SUPER into this one too. (also less than $20)

MID BUDGET

“For the teacher who candles it all!”This amazing candle will last forever and smells better than anything you can imagine. In fact, it is the only one I burn in my bed and bathroom.  Trust me.  I just got the big size for myself after burning through the smaller one in a matter of days.  This would be a FAB present for any teacher.  They deserve to smell the spa at home!

“You’re always one step ahead”– A gift card for a pedi (or mani).  I would have LOVED this as a summer prep and relaxation gift!  You could also give a super cute kit like this one:

This gel kit is less than $25!

“Thank you for quenching my thirst for knowledge!”  These adorable water bottles with drink mix (price will vary based on the container you choose).  I LOVE these fruit infused water containers.

“Thanks for being a helping hand”– this can be accompanied by a nice hand lotion (low budget), a basket with hand products such as softening mittens and cream (mid-budget) or a massage gift certificate (high budget).

“Have a sun-derful summer!”Summer Fun Basket- Fill with things such as a beach towel, sunscreen, magazine, etc.

A personalized framed gift– I am OBSESSED with this idea I JUST saw online.  Bummer- will do next year. But here is an ADORABLE idea.

So, when your little is the “kid of the day,” and you are responsible for snack (and your little guy is super into helping you cook), you make HULK PUDDING CUPS!  Boy were these popular.  But moreover, they were SUPER fun to make and my loyal servants were more than happy to help 🙂

Zach and I watch an AMAZING Youtube series called Nerdy Nummies.  In fact, I was THRILLED to get Rosanna’s new cookbook (GET IT HERE- it is amazing)

as a recent gift and even more thrilled to make another Nerdy Nummie creation in our (new and amazing) kitchen!  Try these at home!

So, make pudding according to the box.  Add in BLUE food coloring (because the vanilla pudding tends to be on the yellow spectrum and ya know, yellow and blue make green) until it is of the desired color.  While it is still soft, pour from a pitcher into your clear plastic cups that you have already drawn eyebrows eyes and mouth on.  While the pudding is hardening, put a few chocolate graham crackers in a plastic bag, get a hammer and put your helpers to work!

Um…can we talk about the joy in this picture and how much it warms my heart!?

These crumbs will make the adorable Hulk hair.  Then, have your littles pour spoonfuls of the “hair” onto the top of the pudding.  SUUUUPER cute and yummy!

Really though, we all LOVED this little project!  Enjoy!
