My review of the Snuggie

OK, so I admit it, I’m a brat.  I could not wait for Santa to bring me a Snuggie…not even the “Hanukah Santa.”  Listen, people, don’t judge.  I wanted to try to hang out downstairs more with the Husband and the big TV where it is normally too cold for me (hence the Snuggie).  Anyway, I broke down and bought myself one at during a previous Target run, of which I did NOT mention on the blog…cause I was embarassed I caved for the Snuggie.  You don’t understand, I’m always cold!

Excuse the bad pic and the purple bruise on my lip- I had to get something lasered yesterday…hurts!  😦

Anyway, the Sunggie is just OK.  It is fine for sitting and watching TV (and possible even sipping a drink) as the commercial implies, but tha tis really ALL you can do with it.  And let’s just say I’m not very good at just sitting and watching TV sipping a drink for an extended period of time…Anyway, the result of doing…pretty much anything else is:

The thing is CONSTANTLY slipping off.  Anyway, how cute does Osc look?  He just got groomed!

He’s smiling for you

Exhausting day, no?

I hate when his eyes come out like that in pics…is he is a devilish dog though sometimes!  😉

Back to the Snuggie, it does keep you warm, just don’t expect to be able to move function well with it.  Scale of 1-10?  Ehhhh….just get. it.  It’s less than 20 bucks at Target!  OK, toodles!

Damn you, H & M!

Seriously, how do a series of errands end up in an unnecessary awesome mini-spree at H & M?!?!  DIVINE INTERVENTION!  Woohoo!  Anyway, today after work I went to get a friend a gift card to a lovely spa, got a gift for Ian’s my little cousin Saba… (she reads the blog so I will just show the packaging)- my heart beats a little faster at the sight of that Tiffany blue!  Shout out to girlfriend who is turning 21 this weekend!  I am actually going to Atlanta for this shindig and cannot wait!  Ian’s aunt told me to “take lots of pictures.”  Really, Ger-as if you should expect any less from me! 🙂  People get annoyed at my camera-readiness at times!  hahah

OK, back to the subject at hand.  Then I went to Doggie Style, the best doggie boutique in Philly-they have numerous locations-to get Oscar his “after dinner treat.”  Everynight after he eats his din-din, he expects to get a few minutes of chewing on this…it is about 3 feet long for real!

So rediculous, but boy was he a happy camper when he saw Mama got him a new treat!

See- he is SO smiling for the camera!  OK, moving on, I then went to H & M just to CHECK OUT their selection of eternity scarves (suggested highly by my girl Lisa at and this is where the “disaster” began!  i just wanted one…And left with 4.  Yup, you heard right.  Four.  See:

This last one is the one I’m wearing today…And all together now:

Ok, so I realize they look like a mound of yarn in these pictures, but these scarves are the BOMB!  Love them!  We realized they also have decoy names and come in the name of “infinity scarves, eternity scarves or collars.”  Whatever.  I call them awesome.

I totally showed that bag who was the boss!

So, I ALSO got my delivery of my two coats for 60 bucks (30 dollars EACH!) from Old Navy!  I am wearing the white puffy one today due to the disgusting rain.

So yesterday also included a 4-miler, on the treadmill.  I HAVE to give a shout out to my girl Lindsay from who was VERY convinced that the running outside was FAR better than th treadmill.  Yesterday, I kinda was agreeing with her.  My knees were killing me, and this is usually not an area of injury for me.  Point is, maybe you are right, Lindz!  After that I took a lovely shower and used Philosophy’s belgian waffle body wash..yummmm! I didn’t want to get out!

Love it!  I also encountered an issue that I need help with.  I currently use Aveda’s volumizing shampoo becuase when my hair was longer, that is what I needed.  Now that it is short, I think I am in need of a new shampoo.  WHAT SHAMPOO DO YOU USE?  Please comment and let me know, or email me at  ok, outtie for now!  Enjoy your Thursday!

Note:  title of blog post to be sung to the tune of “Just Another Manic Monday” 🙂

HI all!  This was really a lovely weekend!  So you saw what Friday consisted of (how fun!?!) and it kept getting better (…mostly-boo Phils)!  Anyway, Saturday morning was the Mutt Strutt.  Although it was raining almost the entire time, we had a great time!   Our team was called “Team Oscar ‘n Friends” and included Oscar, myself, Husband, Steph, Luxy, Eric and Riley. We raised about 200 dolars for animal rescue! Here are some pics to highlight the event:

Oscar already tired on the way there!

Snacky snacky for the ride- yummmm

Husband and Osc and the finish line!

After the Mutt Strut, we took an amazing nap and then awoke to pleasantly discover we were due for a visit from Kevin (Ian’s brother) Ryan (their good friend) and some other friends.  How fun!  Halloween was shaping up to be a grrrreeat day!  So, they all came over and we (unfortch.) watched the Phils LOOOOOOSE.  Then the guys went out and I met up with Bri.  We were ninjas.  Actually, she was a samerai and I was a ninja.  She created my whole costume- how fun!

OOOOHHHH-KAY, SO.  Sunday morning was time for Jen’s Baby Brunch! I had been SOOO excited for this for some time now and the day had come!  Jen is a dear neighbor (married to Tim)- both are such nice people, along with their son Theodore (as he says it- too cute).

The adorable Theo

Anyway, I think it turned out great! Everyone seemed to have a great time, as did I!  I loved the favors I did.  They were the Artie Lange cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery in New York.  The proceeds go to S. Jude’s Childrens hospital- cupcakes are yummy and the cause is great!  I wrapped those babies up in a lil’ treat bag, made a cute label with a poem and some cute baby booties-she’s having a boy!

Here are some more pics from the baby brunch- Congrats again, Jen!

Anyway, all was well and everyone (hopefully) went home feed and happy (and ready for a nap-See Oscar below)…

Hello again! Happy Halloween and Happy Friday!

Oy, so yesterday I was home sick 😦  Booooo.  Spent the day at home with my lil man (whow tried his costume on and made his best devil eyes to show his disapproval) and Rosie.  See Rosie below.  She is a FREAKY life-like breathing dog that makes noise that my husband thought would make a perfect surprise present.  She is freaky.  Anyway, back to the grind!

Buyer’s Remorse?!?!?

It couldn’t be!  OY.  So with the husband’s suggestion, Oscar dog is going to be a “watchdog” for Halloween…Hmmm….I know.  BOR-ING.  Husband’s a lawyer- he’s almost too smart for his our own good!  Anyway, below is the picture of the costume I ordered, but when reflecting on year’s past…does it make the cut?

What do you think, buddy?

…and we’re plugged in!

OK, so here my journey into the world of blogging begins! I am so excited, but feel a bit like a “poser.” Woah- definitely have not used that word since high school! Anyway, after reading, enjoying, and even complaining about some blogs, I have decided it is my time to enter the “blogger world.” I know…bandwagoner all the way. Why blog? Let’s put it this way- it’s not that I have an overwhelming amount of information in this brain that needs to be shared, it’s the thought process that are highly amusing and MUST be spread. Ask my husband. Or my friends. Or even my dog. So, read on, and visit again soon, or roll your eyes and click the “x.” Happy bloggin!

Even my dog, Oscar is confused by my randomness!
